The Washington Post recently did a really interesting multimedia based story profiling five women in Kabul, Afghanistan. The story focuses on positive change happening for woman’s rights as we get further away from Taliban rule. Profiles of Suraia, Nasima, Habiba, Bakhtnazira, and Nargis present a world moving closer to equality, but still facing a tenuous balance as Afghanistan grapples between the traditions of the Eastern and Western world. One thing can be sure, things are getting better but outside support is essential in the process.
