“Having interned with Empowerment Health for 7 months, I can tell you first-hand that this is a rewarding opportunity to work with the Afghan community and an incredible team of interdisciplinary, compassionate health-care leaders. I learned so much about the ins and outs of addressing international public health issues from a grassroot perspective. While being a part of the EH family, I recognized the severity of maternal health and saw how grassroots and nonprofit administration can help answer healthcare inequalities. I am fortunate for the opportunity to participate in the start-up of a dynamic nonprofit pursuing meaningful change and I strongly encourage you to join the EH community.”
