Fundraising Consultant

We are seeking an experienced fundraising professional to help the Board and team of volunteers to implement a strategic fundraising program. Title will be mutually agreed upon. This is a volunteer position.

Job Description:

  • Advise and assist in the development of:
    • A comprehensive donor database
    • An annual giving calendar
    • Multiple annual fundraising campaigns
  • Advise the Board on fundraising best practices

Hours and Location:

  • 3 hours per month for Board calls, additional time as required to develop and execute campaigns
  • Remote work from anywhere in the continental United States

Requirements:

  • Interest in maternal and child health; specifically in regions like Afghanistan with high mortality
  • 10 years experience fundraising for NGOs
  • Proactive independent worker
  • Participate in monthly Board calls

 

Grant Writing Consultant

We are seeking an experienced grant writer to help the Board and team of volunteers to develop and implement a grant writing strategy. Title will be mutually agreed upon.

Job Description:

  • Manage the grant writing process including:
    • Developing a grant database
    • Leading grant writing activities
    • Advising the Board on grant writing best practices
    • Coordinating Board and volunteer grant writing activities

Hours and Location:

  • 5-10 hours per month for Board calls, grant writing activities
  • Remote work

Requirements:

  • Interest in maternal and child health; specifically in regions like Afghanistan with high mortality
  • 10 years grant writing experience preferably for service/humanitarian organizations
  • Proactive independent worker
  • Participate in monthly Board calls

Programming and Development Intern 

Volunteer Description: The volunteer’s primary responsibility is to support program development operations of the organization, including the preparation of communication materials, management of fundraising activities, and building relationships with other relevant non-profit organizations and health care providers. Among other responsibilities, this role would include outreach, website design/content development, grant writing, event planning, and database development. The intern is directly responsible to the Board President, along with the other Board members.

General Accountant

Volunteer Description: The General Accountant will play a critical role in advising an international public health nonprofit. The General Accountant will be responsible for creating, reviewing, and analyzing accounting documents; identifying and addressing issues regarding fiscal and tax liability, reporting, and financial obligations; informing the Board of relevant state, national, and international tax laws, regulations and policies concerning nonprofit management and activities. A general audit will also be an important responsibility of the General Accountant. The General Accountant is directly responsible to the Board President, along with the other Board members, with the time commitment variable depending on field needs and current project status.

 

General Counsel 

Volunteer Description: The General Counsel will play a critical role in advising an international public health nonprofit.
